Producer story
Nadine Saxer
The Saxer family estate is located in Neftenbach in the Zurich wine region. Founded by Jürg Saxer in the 1990s on historic vineyard land, it continues a family winegrowing tradition that has been rooted in the region since 1840. Since 2011, his daughter Nadine Saxer has run the estate together with her husband Stefan Gysel Saxer, a trained oenologist. Together they built a new cellar into the hillside and continued to develop the range. Across around 14 hectares of prime Zurich vineyards, they cultivate classic varieties such as Pinot Noir and Riesling-Sylvaner alongside specialities including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Räuschling and Cabernet. Hand harvesting, gentle vinification and targeted barrel ageing shape wines that have won awards in Switzerland and internationally.
